Chelan Estate Vineyards & Winery
755 S. Lakeshore Rd.
Chelan, WA 98816
(509) 682-5454

At Chelan Estate Vineyards & Winery you'll  find a lush pocket of vineyard carved into the rolling hills overlooking Lake Chelan. Ribbons of trellised wine grapes grow up to the Chelan Estate's winemaking facility, which also serves as the winery's tasting room. In this lovely setting, sample the winery's estate wines, created from the first grapes grown on the south shore. You may even get to watch the owners make or bottle their wine as you sip.

This small winery is owned and operated by two couples, the Nestors and the Brodericks, originally Chelan Valley neighbors who grew wine grapes as a hobby and made their first wine in the Nestors' garage. Now, with a thriving business, their families tenderly care for seven acres of grape vines, hand pruning each plant. Their flagship wine was an estate-grown Pinot Noir.

The Lake Chelan Winery is located in one of the valley’s oldest apple packing sheds, five miles west of Chelan, on the way to Manson. This was the first winery to open in the valley, and owners Steven and Bobbi Kludt were instrumental in starting the valley’s now thriving wine industry. The couple planted their first wine grapes in 1998 on land that was once planted in Red Delicious apples. They now have 22 acres planted with 10 different varieties of grapes.

Tsillan Cellars overlooks beautiful Lake Chelan on the south shore, just one mile from Chelan. Owner Dr. Robert Jankelson has worked for four years to recreate the romantic feel of old-world Tuscany at Tsillan Cellars. The winery’s impressive tasting room and winemaking facilities reflect his commitment to detail and elegance. Building materials came from across the globe.

Natural stone bridges, Tuscan columns, a 35-foot bell tower with a 650 lb cast bronze bell, landscaped rockeries and gardens overlook Lake Chelan and the Cascade Mountains. The 135-acre estate is the perfect setting for the winery’s summer concert series featuring world-class performers. See the winery's website for a complete listing of concerts.

Set on a hill, Vin du Lac, meaning Wine of the Lake, is located on land that has been apple orchard since the 1920’s. Seven acres of vineyards were planted in the spring of 2002, but half of the land remains working orchard. The wine production facilities are located in two old orchard sheds that the proprietors Larry Lehmbecker and Michaela Markusson remodeled and updated.

Styled after a French country bistro, the old orchard farmhouse, also built in the 20’s, serves as the winery’s tasting room. Visitors will find a broad selection of wines, as well as a unique menu of meats, cheeses, pates, breads and French baquettes. The winery also sells gifts and gourmet chocolate truffles laced with its award-winning wines. Guests are welcome to unwind on the lake-view patio or stroll through the vineyard and orchard on a guided tour.
